Supporting Share the Dignity’s Dignity Drive – Your Help Makes a Difference!
At V & Co. Realty, we believe access to basic hygiene products is a fundamental right, not a privilege. That’s why we are proud to support Share the Dignity’s #DignityDrive this March. We’re committed to ensuring that women, girls, and anyone who menstruates has access to essential period products without having to choose between hygiene and other basic needs.
What is the Dignity Drive?
Share the Dignity’s Dignity Drive is a national initiative that collects and distributes period products to those who are experiencing period poverty—a reality for many Australians. Period poverty occurs when individuals cannot afford or access the essential hygiene products they need. Shockingly, 1 in 5 Australians have struggled to afford period products at some point in their lives, and the effects can be devastating.
Since 2015, Share the Dignity has been working to change this by collecting donations of period products, which are then distributed through charity partners to those experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or financial hardship. This year, Share the Dignity’s goal is to collect 500,000 period products as part of the March and August Dignity Drives. We’re thrilled to be a part of this important initiative and are calling on our community to help us reach this goal.
How You Can Help
Donating period products is simple, and every donation counts. We are accepting pads, tampons, period undies, menstrual cups, and incontinence products in their original packaging. These items are critical for maintaining personal hygiene and dignity, especially for those in need. By donating, you’ll be ensuring that people who menstruate have access to the products they need without having to make impossible choices.
We are proud to be an official Share the Dignity donation point, and we invite you to drop off your donations at our office. The drive runs through March, and donations will be accepted Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
